Its hard to list just one favorite out of all of them. I'm gonna bend the rules a bit and put my favorite type of foreign coin. That would be the Silver Thaler coin from any country. I have six which I'll list in order from my most favorite Thaler or in this case Taler. It's from the German state of Saxony and was minted in 1607. The ruler or as they called them Electors of Saxony was Christian II of Saxony. A big reason why I like this coin so much is the fact that myself and the ruler Christian II of Saxony share a lot in common. Starting with the name Christian he was born in 1583 I was born in 1983. Both of us are born under the astrological sign of Libra. Both of us have a bad obsession with silver and gold. Although I never tortured anyone to death over it. Not to mention the fact that he looks just like me and his family look just like my family. His caretaker was named Frederick so is my dad's first name and my brother's middle name. His sister's name was Elizabeth and that's my sister's middle name. He had no kids neither do I. Anyways I got a very good deal on the coin but I had to wait a month for it to get here from Lithuania which is part of the old Saxony. 20170401_234802.jpg 20170401_234834.jpg

My next favorite thaler is actually a kronenthaler. It is from the Netherlands and was minted in

I took too long to write and edit the first thing. And doing this on a cell phone is a bit difficult. Anyways my next coin is the Kronenthaler from 1761. 20170402_001309.jpg 20170402_001438.jpg

My next favorite is another German States coin from Saxony-Albertine. 20170402_000619.jpg 20170402_000636.jpg

The next one is from the German state of Bavaria in 1755.

Just to prevent any issues from here on. If you can't pick between 2 to 6 different coins make it all a tie.
I will count it all as one.

Have u ever thought about this?

Maybe we can cultivate our metal detecting hobby instead of buying new coins.

There are some possibilities that we are lucky enough to find historic coins.

We can just buy cheap metal detectors for sale to realize.

My favorite coin varies from time to time, right now I'd have to say my favorite silver coin is also my newest. While this coin has a base metal of pure silver, it also has selected gold plating on the coins surface.

Wow now that has some detail. It has been awhile since a coin has made me say "damn". Did you post about this one? Maybe I missed it.

I've not posted it here because it contains a number of comments that are NGC specific that a vast majority of people here wouldn't care about. If you or anyone else is interested click on the following link.
